The Jewish Endowment Foundation of Louisiana (JEF) marks half a century of service to the Greater New Orleans Jewish community with its Annual Event this Sunday, March 19. A reception kicks off in the Grand Ballroom (12th floor) of the Westin Canal Place, 100 Canal Street, at 11:30 a.m. with the start slated for 12:00 noon.
Rather than honoring specific individuals for selected awards as it does each year, JEF’s 50th anniversary will be an opportunity to honor all of its past presidents, according to event chair Cathy Bart. “This will be an event you don’t want to miss. After all, 50 years of service to the greater New Orleans Jewish community is a big achievement!”
A kosher-style dairy brunch will be served. Kosher meals from Casablanca Restaurant are available by request.
Reservations to the benefit are $55.00 per person or a table of 10 for $550.00. According to IRS guidelines, the ticket prices are non-deductible because they represent actual value received. Patron reservations are $150.00 each, of which $95.00 is tax-deductible.
A special rate of $8.00 is available for parking inside the Canal Place parking lot.
