Bill Goldsmith is laid to rest in New Jersey

WILLIAM “BILL” GOLDSMITH, a retiree who had been battling several health issues, died at East Jefferson Hospital as a result of complications from COVID-19 on Tuesday, April 7. He was 92.

Goldsmith had been transferred from Colonial Oaks Nursing Home, where he had been undergoing physical therapy.

He was apparently exposed to the coronavirus at the nursing home by one of two nurses who have since tested positive for the novel virus. Goldsmith was sent to the hospital when his condition worsened.

Goldsmith was buried in a graveside service at 1:00 p.m EDT on Sunday, April 12, at Floral Park Cemetery in South Brunswick, New Jersey.

He is survived by his wife of many years, Sandie Chass Goldsmith. Both Goldsmiths spent much of their time split between New Orleans and New Jersey.

There are no further details at present.
