Kansas, who died on Fri., Dec. 13, was also known affectionately as &#8220;Brother&#8221; and was 72 at the time of his passing.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Alcee Fortier Senior High School, Kansas had a deep appreciation of the beauty of nature and was an avid photographer. He also enjoyed listening to music and using computers and was a student of architecture.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife Sally (n\u00e9e Stich); son Eugene (De Anna); daughter Ann Kansas Cross (Michael); brother Fred of Austin, TX; sister Marilyn Kansas Schrager (Marty) of Boca Raton and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Donations are suggested to the <a title=\"Steve Gleason Foundation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.teamgleason.org\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Gleason Foundation<\/a> or the charity of your choice.
