He was 69 years old. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Moss was a graduate of Isidore Newman School and matriculated from Yale University. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of his death, Moss was the CEO and chairman of the board of Hartwig Moss Insurance Agency on Canal Street.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife Nancy Robinson Moss; daughters Stefanie Moss Baker (Josh) of San Francisco, CA. and Marcie Moss Gelfand (Dean) of Santa Monica, CA.; son Hartwig Moss IV (Robby and wife Leigh); sister Ann Moss Zenowich of Sagle, ID. and four grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>A memorial service took place in the main sanctuary of Touro Synagogue, 4238 St. Charles Ave., on Wed., Jan. 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Rabbi Alexis Berk officiated.
