{"id":12504,"date":"2014-02-15T18:10:19","date_gmt":"2014-02-16T00:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/?p=12504"},"modified":"2014-03-06T13:50:34","modified_gmt":"2014-03-06T19:50:34","slug":"two-jewish-sub-krewes-parade-tonight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/blog\/two-jewish-sub-krewes-parade-tonight\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Jewish &#8216;sub-krewes&#8217; parade tonight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Both the Krewe D&#8217;Jieux and the Krewe du Mishegas, Jewish sub-krewes of the Krewe Delusion and the Krewe Du Vieux, respectively, get rolling tonight, a chance for local Jews to celebrate the Mardi Gras holiday as seen through a Jewish lens.<\/p>\n<p>Both are considered sub-krewes because they are independent organizations that parade under the banner of the larger &#8220;mother&#8221; krewes.<\/p>\n<p>The Krewe du Vieux gets started earlier the evening along the traditional route that moves from the Bywater and Faubourg Marigny areas into the French Quarter.
