STEINMAN, a mother and homemaker and lifelong resident of New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina, died in Brookline, MA on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. She was 87.<\/p>\n<p>Steinman, a member of Congregation Beth Israel, was forced to relocate after the storm destroyed her residence, choosing to live with her daughter for the remainder of her years.<\/p>\n<p>She was predeceased by her husband of many years, Saul Steinman. Steinman is survived by her son Arnold Steinman, her daughter Anne Steinman (spouse Susan D. Tatelman) and a sister, Esther Berger.<\/p>\n<p>Graveside services were held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 10:45 a.m. in the New Beth Israel Cemetery, 4400 Elysian Fields Ave. Rabbi Gabriel Greenberg officiated.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are suggested to<a title=\"Congregation Beth Israel donation link\" href=\"http:\/\/bethisraelnola.com\/contribute-to-a-specific-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Congregation Beth Israel<\/a>, 4004 W.
