{"id":21190,"date":"2015-01-05T04:54:35","date_gmt":"2015-01-05T10:54:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/?p=21190"},"modified":"2015-01-05T04:54:35","modified_gmt":"2015-01-05T10:54:35","slug":"british-soccer-boss-suspended-for-saying-jews-chase-money","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/blog\/british-soccer-boss-suspended-for-saying-jews-chase-money\/","title":{"rendered":"British soccer boss suspended for saying Jews chase money"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\">(JTA) \u2014 The English Football Association punished the owner of a British soccer club over anti-Semitic and racist slurs.<\/span><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><br style=\"color: #222222;\" \/><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Dave Whelan, who owns the Wigan Athletic Football Club near Manchester, was banned from all soccer-related activities for six weeks and fined $78,000 in a decision announced on Dec. 30.
