{"id":25103,"date":"2015-07-21T09:43:02","date_gmt":"2015-07-21T15:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/?p=25103"},"modified":"2015-07-21T09:43:02","modified_gmt":"2015-07-21T15:43:02","slug":"spielberg-sells-malibu-property-for-26-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/blog\/spielberg-sells-malibu-property-for-26-million\/","title":{"rendered":"Spielberg sells Malibu property for $26 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES (JTA) \u2013 The award-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg sold his housing compound in Malibu, bordering the Pacific Ocean, for $26 million.<\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Times over the weekend headlined the sale by the creator of \u201cJaws,\u201d \u201cJurassic Park\u201d and \u201cSchindler\u2019s List\u201d as \u201cSpielberg\u2019s latest blockbuster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The compound\u2019s two-story main house features seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, a massage room and a home theater. Outside the house is the swimming pool and spa, and a two-bedroom guesthouse.<\/p>\n<p>Spielberg bought the property in two separate transactions in 1989 and 2000, paying a total of $6.575 million.
