(JTA) \u2014 ABC\u2019s \u201cGood Morning America\u201d talk show isn\u2019t always this awkward.<\/p>\n
Actress Amanda Peet and actor Hank Azaria were guests on the show Wednesday and talked about their new IFC show \u201cBrockmire,\u201d which centers on a baseball announcer.<\/p>\n
But before talking about the series, both were asked about how they like to eat their chocolate Easter bunnies. Host Michael Strahan supplied the chocolate treats as a segue into talking about a survey on how people eat food (do you eat the bunny ears first, or the feet?)<\/p>\n
Things got a little uncomfortable \u2014 because both Peet and Azaria are Jewish.<\/p>\n
\u201cGuys I\u2019m Jewish,\u201d Peet said, prompting laughter from the hosts. \u201cSo this is really unfamiliar for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWould you like a chocolate menorah brought out?\u201d Azaria said to lighten things up.<\/p>\n
The group went on to talk about how people eat other things, like pizza and Oreos. When Azaria said he sometimes eats pizza with a knife and fork, some of the hosts called him out for being \u201cnot very New York.\u201d<\/p>\n
Azaria, who was raised in Queens, responded by saying \u201cI can eat my pizza any freaking way I want\u201d with a heavy New York accent (a la Jon Stewart).<\/p>\n
A small debate broke out on Twitter over whether eating an Easter bunny is a quintessentially Christian activity.<\/p>\n
Peet, the star of many movies and shows, such as \u201cJack and Jill\u201d and \u201cTogetherness,\u201d was born to a Jewish mother and Quaker father \u2014 and she\u2019s now married to Jewish \u201cGame of Thrones\u201d writer David Benioff. In 2015, she co-wrote a children\u2019s book about Chanukah titled \u201cDear Santa, Love, Rachel Rosenstein.\u201d<\/p>\n
Azaria, best known for being the voice of dozens of characters on \u201cThe Simpsons,\u201d was born to Sephardic Greek parents.<\/p>\n
Next time, Michael Strahan might want to bring out a box of chocolate matzah.<\/p>\n
