{"id":39254,"date":"2017-11-05T11:19:40","date_gmt":"2017-11-05T17:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/?p=39254"},"modified":"2017-11-06T03:16:27","modified_gmt":"2017-11-06T09:16:27","slug":"businessman-morris-lew-rites-to-be-held-today-at-300-p-m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/blog\/businessman-morris-lew-rites-to-be-held-today-at-300-p-m\/","title":{"rendered":"Businessman Morris Lew rites held on Nov. 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MORRIS LEW, 81, the owner of Express Ship Supply, a multi-million dollar company specializing in wholesale marine equipment and supplies, died early this morning, November 5, 2017, less than one week before what would have been his 82nd birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Lew was born in Buenos Dias, Argentina to Russian-Polish parents who had immigrated there. He had been a longtime resident of both Metairie and Orleans Parish, where his business was formed in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife Malka Lew, sons Eli and Perry Lew and five grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A graveside funeral was held on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 5, at 3:00 pm at the Jewish Burial Rites Cemetery, 4321 Frenchman St. (off Elysian Fields Avenue and Pelopidas St.).
