{"id":40565,"date":"2018-01-03T09:19:29","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T15:19:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/?p=40565"},"modified":"2018-01-03T09:22:10","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T15:22:10","slug":"ringo-starr-to-play-israel-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crescentcityjewishnews.com\/blog\/ringo-starr-to-play-israel-in-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Ringo Starr to play Israel in June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(JTA) \u2014 Ringo Starr will perform this summer in Israel more than 50 years after the nation\u2019s government stopped the Beatles from performing there.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ringostarr.com\/tour\">tour<\/a>&nbsp;for the ex-Beatle drummer\u2019s group Ringo Starr &amp; His All-Starr Band includes a June 23 concert in Tel Aviv. Other stops on the tour, which was&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ringostarr.com\/news\/ringo-and-his-all-starr-band-european-tour-2018-announcement\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;in November, include France, the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, Luxembourg, Monaco and Italy.<\/p>\n<p>In 1966, the Israeli government said the band could negatively influence the country\u2019s youth.
