One league source said Edelman was appealing, as he has never tested positive despite taking \u201chundreds of tests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Edelman, 32, missed all of last season after suffering a knee injury in the preseason. The Jewish Pro Bowler, one of quarterback Tom Brady\u2019s favorite targets, is entering his 10th season.<\/p>\n<p>He has caught as many as 105 passes in a season,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jta.org\/2017\/02\/06\/news-opinion\/julian-edelman-made-one-of-the-craziest-catches-in-super-bowl-history\">played<\/a>&nbsp;in three Super Bowls, starred in a series of comedic&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jta.org\/2015\/09\/08\/news-opinion\/the-telegraph\/watch-patriots-star-julian-edelman-starts-career-as-car-salesman\">videos<\/a>&nbsp;and written a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jta.org\/2017\/10\/11\/life-religion\/julian-edelmans-children-book-gets-a-jewish-makeover\">children\u2019s book<\/a>.
