She was 80 years old.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Bernard Widofsky, her son Edward James Widofsky (Macala) and three grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A&nbsp;native of Los Angeles, Widowsky was a graduate of Mills College in Oakland, California before embarking on her chemical career.
