She was a graduate of Eleanor McMain Secondary School before attending the University of New Orleans before starting a multi-decade career in banking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Aside from banking, her other calling from which she derived tremendous pleasure was her other profession: education. She enjoyed a 10-year-long second career as a substitute teacher, impacting the lives of many children in several elementary schools.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Madderra loved all those special things in which New Orleanians take pride.&nbsp; For several decades she was a member of Tikvat Shalom and Shir Chadash Synagogue and kept a vibrantly Jewish home. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and was particularly partial towards beach trips with her family and friends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Among her greatest passions were those she experienced for her sons; her love and affection for them were endless.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her husband, Mark Madderra; her sons Matthew and Jeffrey Madderra (Meredith); and her brother, Richard Cooperstein (Danielle).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Private funeral services and internment took place on August 21st at Tikvat Shalom Cemetery. Rabbi Deborah Silver officiated.
