FRIEDMAN<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Friedman attended Isidore Newman School from kindergarten through 12th grade and received many academic honors. While at Newman, he was very involved in basketball and landed a place on the varsity basketball roster. as a point guard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He later attended Harvard University, where he majored in Social Anthropology. After college, he was a contributing writer for the Times-Picayune and also wrote interesting articles for NolaVie. He conducted&nbsp; once-a-month radio interviews. In addition, he was involved with \u201cExcite All Star\u201d athletic programs for youths.<\/p>\n<p>Friedman wrote and produced a screenplay for a movie, \u201cThe King of New Orleans.\u201d&nbsp; The film received honors at the New Orleans, Memphis, Santa Fe, and Napa Valley film festivals.<\/p>\n<p>Known for his sense of humor, Friedman was always ready to encourage or cheer up others and was a good friend to most everyone he met.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his parents, Linda N. and Richard S. Friedman.
