Direct hits on the targets were confirmed, the IDF spokespersons office said in a statement. The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine confirmed to Reuters that the training base was hit.<\/p>\n<p>The rocket fired Saturday night from Gaza struck the Sdot Negev Regional Council as local residents were gathered to celebrate Lag b&#8217;Omer. Following the attack, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Brig.-Gen.
