In the Reform world, there is a similar tradition of visiting the graves of loved ones shortly after Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Kever Avot Ceremony, or Cemetery Pilgrimage, is a chance to recite memorial prayers first as a community and then to visit the final resting places of individuals and family loved ones and friends.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Rabbi Daniel Sherman of Temple Sinai and Rabbi Katie Baum of Touro Synagogue will lead this year&#8217;s joint Kever Avot service on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 11:30 a.m., as well as any members of the community who have loved ones or friends interred there.
