(Photo by Abed Rahim Khatib\/Flash90)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>While emphasizing that \u201ccombat operations have not ceased\u201d across the Strip, the IDF said pauses in military activities would be instituted in Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah and Gaza City \u201cevery day until further notice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The decision to cease fighting in those areas between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. was coordinated with United Nations officials and other international organizations \u201cfollowing discussions regarding the matter,\u201d it stated.<\/p>\n<p>Humanitarian corridors will be established to enable the movement of U.N. convoys delivering food and medicine to Gazans. The world must stand firm against terror\u2014and work relentlessly to bring all our hostages home immediately,\u201d according to Herzog.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who has opposed humanitarian aid to Gaza as long as Hamas refuses to release the hostages, slammed the move as a surrender to the terrorist group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was informed by a source in the Prime Minister\u2019s Office that during Shabbat, a security consultation took place without me (the official claim: \u2018so as not to desecrate Shabbat\u2019\u2014despite them knowing full well that as the national security minister, I am available on Shabbat for any important event or security consultation), during which it was decided to increase the amounts of \u2018humanitarian\u2019 aid entering Gaza,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told the source from the PMO that this amounts to surrendering to Hamas\u2019s false campaign, which endangers IDF soldiers, and that this surrender is all the more serious given that the prime minister said on Friday that we are considering&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jns.org\/trump-hamas-doesnt-want-a-deal-i-think-they-want-to-die\/\">alternative ways<\/a>&nbsp;to free the hostages.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt turns out that the \u2018alternative way\u2019 is to surrender to Hamas and its false campaigns, and to increase humanitarian aid that reaches them [the terrorists] directly,\u201d the minister stated. \u201cThis path brings us further from the hostages\u2019 return and, more importantly, from total victory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Israel and the United States in May installed a new organization, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, to handle food aid deliveries so that it directly reaches Palestinians civilians and bypasses Hamas terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the Israeli Defense Ministry\u2019s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) unit released extensive&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jns.org\/israel-releases-footage-of-aid-left-waiting-by-un-ngos\/\">footage<\/a>&nbsp;showing the hundreds of trucks on the Palestinian side of the Kerem Shalom Crossing waiting to be picked up by the United Nations.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee shared photos on X of the aid waiting to be distributed, saying that there is \u201cenough food to feed all of Gaza but it sits rotting! U.N. is a tool of Hamas! U.S.-based [Gaza Humanitarian Foundation] is actually delivering food FOR FREE and SAFELY.
