Credit: Courtesy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Michael Katz, 82, \u201cwas injured in his home in a criminal attack deliberately targeting civilians in the heart of&nbsp;<span class=\"LinkEnhancement\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jns.org\/two-bodies-found-under-rubble-after-iranian-missile-strike-targets-haifa\" data-cms-ai=\"0\">Haifa<\/a><\/span>\u201d on April 5, Mayor Yona Yahav wrote on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor three months, we accompanied his struggle for life with hope, and this morning we bid him farewell with great sorrow,\u201d Yahav added.<\/p>\n<p>Katz worked for decades at defense contractor Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and \u201cdedicated his life to the security of the State of Israel,\u201d the mayor said.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his wife, Nina, who was lightly wounded in the attack, his sons Itamar and Yoav, and six grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>The April 5 strike also killed four members of another family.
