The <i>BBC<\/i> <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/videos\/c39wz712q0kzo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cms-ai=\"0\"><u>published<\/u><\/a><\/span> video footage of the attack that appears to show at least three gunmen opening fire on the church.<\/p>\n<p>The Jordanian prime minister declared three days of mourning in response to the attacks and said that flags would fly at half-mast throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>Christians make up about 2% of the population of Jordan, according to the 2025 edition of the CIA World Factbook.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad al-Momani, the Jordanian government <span class=\"LinkEnhancement\"><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DrMohAlmomani\/status\/2113703712703062413\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cms-ai=\"0\"><u>spokesman<\/u><\/a><\/span>, wrote on Friday that Christians are \u201can authentic and indivisible part of our national fabric\u201d and \u201cpartners in Jordan\u2019s history, present and future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Terrorist attacks in Jordan are rare.
