Chabad of Metairie to host Rabbi Joseph Telushkin

Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, a noted author and lecturer, will be the featured guest at the Gerson Katz Chabad Center of Metairie, 4141 W. Esplanade Ave.,  on Thursday, September  12.

Titled “An Evening with Joseph Telushkin,” the rabbi will speak on the topic “Five Teachings That Can Change Your Life Today: Practical Insights from the Rebbe’s Leadership.” Much of his talk will center on his 2014 New York Times bestselling book “Rebbe.”

Telushkin is the author of more than 16 books including several volumes on ethics, “Words That Hate, Words That Heal,” (which inspired a “National Speak No Evil Day” bill) and “Why the Jews?: The Reason for Antisemitism.” A VIP reception for sponsors at 6:00 p.m. will precede the opening of the main event doors at 6:45 p.m. Tickets for sponsors, which includes two tickets, are $180.00.

An early bird ticket is currently available for $10.00 through September 6. After that, the cost to attend will go up to $18.00.
