Consultant Alan Davis, 59, dies; celebration of life set for Tues.
ALAN H. DAVIS, the owner of AHD Consultants, passed away on June 13, 2021. He was 59.
A native of New Orlenas, he was a graduate of St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, MS., and worked in sales. Since 1981, he was the owner of AHD Consultants, which advised area businesses in matters of “scientific consulting.”
Davis was an avid prankster who loved Mardi Gras and was a board member of the Krewe of Bacchus. He was a vibrant man who loved fishing, cooking, hosting crawfish boils, scuba diving, boating, decorating for holidays, and arranging jubilant firework displays.
He enjoyed Camp Horseshoe and loved eating chocolate and ice cream which is part of the family’s “Levy gene.” In more recent times, he enjoyed being a grandfather.
He is survived by his father, Alvin H. Davis; his sons, Benjamin J. Davis, Jonathan L. Davis, and Joshua R. Davis; his sister, Pamela D. Lyles (Jack); his brother, Leonard A. Davis (Sharon Jacobs); and his one grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mardi Gras World at 1380 Port of New Orleans, in New Orleans, LA 70130.
A private burial for immediate family only will be at conducted at Hebrew Rest No. 3, officiated by Rabbi Daniel Sherman of Temple Sinai.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to music programs for New Orleans schools through the Krewe of Bacchus Foundation at 1215 Prytania Street, Suite 227, in New Orleans, LA 70130.
