Former New Orleanian Sandie Chass Goldsmith dies

SANDRA “SANDIE” CHASS MORRIS GOLDSMITH, a former resident of New Orleans, died on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

She was the president of the B’Not Shalom Group and a member of the New Orleans Chapter of Hadassah.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, the most recent being Bill Goldsmith during the COVID pandemic, and is survived by her children Hallie Morris Hankel and Lee Morris (Dara Berger) and three grandchildren, all of whom live in Atlanta.

A funeral was held in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, April 8.
