Free ‘I Dissent’ reading with Tovah Feldshuh on Friday
Six-time Emmy and Tony Award-nominated actress Tovah Feldshuh will reprise her role as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as part of a celebration of the first yarhzeit (anniversary) of her passing “orchestrated” by the Friends of the Israel Philharmonic.
Feldshuh played Ginsburg in the film “Sisters in Law,” which depicted the relationship between her and Sandra Day O’Connor, the first female justice appointed to the nation’s highest court. Feldshuh will read from “I Dissent: Ruth Bader Ginsburg Makes Her Mark” as Ginsburg.
Ginsburg herself will also be seen reading from “I Dissent,” the book written by Debbie Levy and promoted as part of the PJ Library for kids.
The streaming show will be available at 1:00 p.m. CDT on Friday, Sept. 17 and should be requested through this link.
Following the reading, the Israel Philharmonic String Quartet will perform Bach’s Air on the G String in her honor.
