Israel marks Yom Ha’Shoah with sirens, silence
Israel’s sirens wailed for two minutes earlier today and the nation stopped what they were doing, stood in reverent attention and remained silent.
The ritual, which did not occur last year due to the lockdown, returned again as drivers pulled over to the sides of the road, opened their car doors and stood silently next to their vehicles.
Israel’s i24 News network captured the moment from various venues such as Mt. Herzl, outide in Jerusalem and from their own studios.
