Israel signs MOUs with Bahrain
Israel today signed several Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with the Kingdom of Bahrain signifying their moving forward with the establishment of peaceful relations.
National Security Council head Meir Ben-Shabbat, who is leading the Israeli delegation in Manama and Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, signed a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic, peaceful and friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel earlier today, October 18, 2020.
At the signing ceremony, the director generals of the relevant ministries also signed MOUs establishing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, cooperation in the field of civil aviation cooperation and cooperation in the fields of telecommunications, information technologies and postal services.
In addition, an exemption of visa requirements is now agreed upon by all diplomats representing each country, especially on an exemption of visa rquirements for holders of Diplomatic Special or Service passports.
Finally, a last MOU was signed establishing cooperation between the two nations’ Chambers of Commerce.
