JCC hires new CEO Stephanie Levin
The New Orleans Jewish Community Center announced a change in designation from executive director to CEO when it named Stephanie Levin to replace Leslie Fischman as its top executive. The appointment of Levin was announced by JCC board president Aimee Bain. The appointment begins officially on June 27, 2022.
Levin has served for the past 20 years as a Jewish professional in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been the Chief Engagement and Innovation Officer at the Peninsula JCC (PJCC) in Foster City, CA. for the past five years. Previously, she led teams at both the Berkeley Hillel and the JCC of San Francisco.
Levin earned an undergraduate degree from Mills College in Oakland, CA. and was named a participant in the Wexner Field Fellowship, the prestigious program for Jewish professional leaders. She also has served on the board of directors for the Shalom Bayit, the Bay Area JCC’s center for domestic violence prevention and also JResponse®, a readiness, relief, recovery, and resilience initiative that trains JCC professionals to provide non-emergency support to other JCCs and the communities they serve following natural and man-made disasters.
