For the fifth year in a row, Jewish Children’s Regional Service (JCRS) will host its annual community-wide Chanukah party, “Latkes with a Twist.” Billed at one of the top Chanukah parties in the nation, this year’s event will be held in the Faubourg Marigny on Thursday, Dec. 6, at Press Street Station, 5 Homer Plessy Way.
Adam Biderman, chef and owner of The Company Burger, will be the featured latke master. He will be joined by several NOCCA culinary students, whose school is located just block away. The evening will also feature live music by the Joe Gelini Trio, an open bar featuring a Vodka Latke Punch, a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned “Hanukkah Hi-Ball,” and wine courtesy of Sazerac Brands. Pabst will supply beer for the event.
Tickets are $30 per person in advance ($35 at the door) and are available by calling JCRS (504) 828-6334 or online here.
JCRS has served vulnerable Jewish children and families providing college scholarships, grants for Jewish summer camp experiences, special needs assistance, and other vital outreach programs since 1855. Today, JCRS is as vital as ever, as JCRS will serve or fund over 1,700 Jewish children from our seven-state region, including 54% of Jewish youth, ages 17 and under, in Greater New Orleans.
