The Jewish Endowment Foundation of Louisiana (JEF), in partnership with Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans (JFS), today announced the Jewish Community COVID-19 Emergency Financial Assistance Program. The program, funded by JEF, will be implemented through JFS and provide those members of the Greater New Orleans Jewish community who are most vulnerable to financial upheaval to receive aid to relieve economic stress due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

According to the announcement, so-called “stability bridge grants” will be available for Jewish individuals and families in the Greater New Orleans area who require life sustaining funds and have exhausted all other means to meet their basic needs.
