Kesslers to be honored at JFS fundraiser on March 20

Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans (JFS), a constituent agency of Jewish Federation of New Orleans, will be holding its annual fundraiser titled “Take Flight with JFS”  on Thurs., March 20th, 2025. The event will be held from  from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport and will honor Stanley and Ellen Kessler for their outstanding philanthropy to JFS and other organization.

Known for their quiet yet powerful support, the Kesslers have been champions for Jewish life and social good for many years.

“Take Flight with JFS” will feature a dairy dinner, cocktail hour, vintage planes on display, a photo booth, swing dancers, and more. The community event will give individuals an opportunity to connect with JFS and to learn more deeply how its programs have a direct affect on  the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.

Funds raised during the event will benefit JFS’s essential programs, including the Case Management Program, Affordable Counseling Program, and Financial Resource Center. These programs provide vital support to individuals and families navigating challenges related to financial stability and mental health care.

“We are thrilled to invite the community to join us for an unforgettable evening that will support the important work we do,” said Roselle M. Ungar, JFS executive director said. “With the support of our generous patrons and sponsors, we will continue to uplift and empower those in need throughout the Greater New Orleans area.”
