Maccabeats to usher in Chanukah on Sunday at JCC

The Maccabeats, an a capella group who has achieved fame via their highly produced and clever YouTube videos, will return to the New Orleans Uptown Jewish Community Center to perform a series of Chanukah-related songs on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

The group last performed at the JCC in 2013. The concert is part of the Cathy and Morris Bart Cultural Arts Series.

The show is free, but requires an RSVP. It is planned as an outdoor celebration to be held on Bart Field. In the event of inclement weather, however, the concert will be moved inside to the Mintz Auditorium. Because of limited seating due to COVID regulations for indoor events, only those who are registered and have tickets will be able to attend. If the event is held outdoors, as planned,  anyone who has registered and is on the wait list will be able to attend.

All who are eligible to be vaccinated must show proof of vaccination to enter the event.
