The 44th annual B’nai B’rith Mardi Gras Mitzva Makers Hospital Parade will take place inside Touro Hospital this Sunday, February 2, beginning at 10 a.m.

Participants are urged to meet at the Touro entrance entrance at 3500 Prytania Street, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

A limited supply of costumes will be available and everyone is encouraged to bring their own costumes, if at all possible.

The idea of the parade is to bring Mardi Gras to area patients who are in long-term care and rehabilitation and unable to attend street parades. In addition, the nearby Laurel Senior Living facility on Aline street will be the site of a follow-up parade after the revelers have left Touro.

Participants are also encouraged to bring a bag of beads and a number of plush, suffed animals for throws. Musicians will accompany the Mitzva Makers and all invited to meet at 930 a.m. with their instruments.

RSVPs are encouraged to parade organizer Dr. Hilton Title, DDS.
