Netanyahu fires back after UN vote

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired back his response to the United Nations vote earlier today that condemned the recent United States decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In his short remarks posted over Facebook, Netanyahu called the vote on the non-binding resolution as “preposterous”

“Israel completely rejects this preposterous resolution. Jerusalem is our capital. Always was, always will be,” he began.

“But I do appreciate the fact that a growing number of countries refused to participate in this theater of the absurd,” he continued. “So I appreciate that, and especially I want to again express our thanks to President Trump and Ambassador Haley, for their stalwart defense of Israel and their stalwart defense of the truth.”
