SAMUEL ELLIS “SAM’ SCHUDMAK, III, an attorney and real estate investor, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at the age of 71.
A longtime resident of Jefferson Parish, he was an active member of the community and a member of Temple Sinai.
A graduate of Alcee Fortier High School, Schudmak attended LSU in Baton Rouge and received a law degree from the Loyola University College of Law.
Schudmak was a devoted family man and an avid fisherman and hunter. Two of the great loves of his life were his fishing camp in Shell Beach and his hunting camp in Fayetteville, MS.
He was a father figure to all who knew him and a great friend and mentor to many.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Carol Abramson Schudmak; his sons Jonathan, Jesse (Shaundra), Jeremy (Kerry) and Jordan (Stacie); six grandchildren and his brother Louis.
A private funeral was held at Hebrew Rest Cemetery No. 3 on November 8 for immediate family only.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
