Rabbi Nemes to facilitate new JLI ‘Kaballah of You’ course

Rabbi Yossie Nemes of the Gerson Katz Chabad Center of Metairie has announced his facilitation of a new six-week course from the Jewish Learning Institute (JLI). The JLI is associated with the national Chabad movement, but its courses are open “to all levels of Jewish knowledge.” This course is titled “The Kabbalah of You” and is intended to explore the humanity found within the core of every individual.

According to JLI editor Rabbi Naftali Siberberg, “Through the examination of the entire spectrum of what it means to be human, “The Kabbalah of You” offers recipes, tips, and techniques for not only discovering where our true meaning lies, but in actually making it a part of our daily existence.”

Silberberg suggests the course will help students see life as a mysterious, challenging, and satisfying wonder.“Bringing light to what it is that makes you YOU will enable you to discover new depths of meaning that will have an impact on every aspect of your existence,” he continued. “Joy, contentment, courage, self-control, a meaningful relationship with G-d, beautiful relationships with others—these are some of the benefits of being in sync with your deepest self.”

The course will be taught on Tuesday nights at the Gerson Katz Chabad Center of Metairie at 7:30 or on Wednesday nights at the law offices of Lee,Futrell and Perles, 201 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, also at 7:30 p.m.

Interested parties may register online at this local link or through the national JLI site.
