ROBYN GERSON BAROCAS, an executive assistant at Monterey Wealth in Sandy Springs, GA., succumbed to cancer on November 8, 2019. She was 48.
A native of New Orleans, she graduated from Metairie Park Country Day High School before attending the University of Georgia. While in college she pledged and became a member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority. Following her graduation in 1992 with an Education degree, Gerson moved to Atlanta.
Gerson’s work with Monterey Wealth for the past 15 years was especially appreciated by members of the Sandy Springs firm including, but not limited to founder and president Jay Cohen.
A wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and bravely fought the illness until the very end.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years Scotty Barocas; her New Orleans parents, Marshall and Jane Gerson; her brother, Scott Gerson (Nick Brown) of New York City; her sister, Keri Gerson Pollock (Mark) of New Orleans and her daughters, Sophie and Lily Barocas.
As a child, she attended Camp Barney Medintz for 10 years and worked there as an adult in the infirmary for 8 more years, while her daughters attended camp.

A funeral service was held Sunday, November 10, at Chabad of North Fulton at 11:00 a.m. Burial followed immediately at Arlington Memorial Park. Arrangements by Dressler’s Jewish Funeral Care.
