Sintes hired as Gates of Prayer CECE director
Jessica Sintes, a teacher with 13 years of experience, has been hired as the new director of the Louise Hayem Manheim Center for Early Childhood Education (CECE) at Congregation Gates of Prayer.
The announcement caps a search process conducted over the trying COVID-19 pandemic period.
Sintes, a mother of two and a longtime member of Gates of Prayer, was most recently employed by the Jewish Community Center as its camp director at the Goldring-Woldenberg Metairie Campus. She has been a teacher at several other schools and early learning centers throughout her career.
As the JCC camp director, Sintes became very aware of coronavirus spread prevention procedures and procedures for safety against COVID-19. She plans to work to coordinate the anticipated opening of the school in the fall and to implement expanded teacher continuing education and support and “more natural learning environments.”
