Tax preparer Donna Heier to be laid to rest on Monday

DONNA LEE RAPAPORT HEIER, passed away peacefully on early Tuesday morning, April 18, 2023, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was 83.

A native of Chicago, she later lived in Miami and had been a resident of Covington for over 34 years. She graduated from Miami Beach High School in 1956. She worked as a tax preparer for Heier Financial Services for over 40 years. 

Heier was a fun loving and adventurous person, who enjoyed experiencing the zest of life through travel and the arts. Her true passion was spending time with her loving family and friends.

Preceded in death by her son Daryl Rantis and her daughter Deborah Renee Medcraft,  ,she is survived by her children Baron Desmond (Melissa) and David Heier, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana on Monday, April 24, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
