TSIPALEIA SOLOMONIK GLOTSER, a Russian emigré who came to the United States as a retiree, died on Friday, October 4, 2019. She was 92.
Glotser was a native of Vitebsk and formerly worked as an executive assistant in the same shoe factory in Russia, where her husband was a mechanic. The two had retired before journeying with other family members to the United States.
She was widowed three years ago by Soviet war hero Mikhail Glotser and had been living recently in Metairie Manor.
She is survived by her children Zina Gutkovich (Felix), and Lev Glotser (Elena), four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral was conducted by Rabbi David Gerber on Thursday, October 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., in Metairie. Burial followed at Hebrew Rest #3 Cemetery, 2003 Pelopidas St.
