U.S., announces Bahrain set to normalize relations with Israel
(WASHINGTON) – Donald Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, jointly announced the normalization of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Israel.
Bahrain becomes the fourth Arab nation to formally recognize Israel.
According to Trump’s announcement Bahrain “will fully normalize its diplomatic relations with Israel. They will exchange embassies and ambassadors, begin direct flights between their countries and launch cooperation initiatives against a broad range of factors including, health, business, technology, education, security and agriculture.”
“This is a truly historic day,” the president said.
The announcement follows the previous announcement of normalization of relations between the United Arab Emirates just 29 days ago. Previously, only Egypt and Jordan had established relations with Israel.
This is a developing story.
