Titled “Rollin’ on the River,” the event is being held at The Misi, 600 Decatur Street, a part of the Jax Brewery building, on Thursday, March 12 from 6:30 – 9 p.m.

The celebration will honor the Pesseses for their many years of service, generosity and leadership.

Tickets for “Rollin’ on the River” are on sale now and include a buffet-style dairy meal as well as a cocktail hour and live music.

The decorations and theme are intended to suggest “Showboat,” the popular Edna Ferber novel that was turned into a groundbreaking musical in 1927 and later made into two successful films with the same title.

Funds raised during the event will support JFS’s essential programs, including Care Management, Affordable Counseling, and their Financial Resource Center. These programs provide a steady lifeline to individuals and families navigating life’s challenges.

“Debbie and Leon truly embody the values at the core of Jewish Family Service,” said Roselle M. Ungar, CEO of Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans. “Their lifelong dedication to Jewish community, service, and caring for others makes them the perfect honorees for an evening that celebrates the power of coming together and lifting one another up.”

In addition to the online sales, tickets can be secured by dialing the JFS office at 504-831-8475.

Parking is also available adjacent to the Brewery in Premium Parking Lot P401.
