Doris Davis rites held on Sept. 10

DORIS ANNA LEVIN DAVIS, a homemaker, passed away on September 8, 2019. She was 97.

A native of New Orleans, she was a resident of Woldenberg Village at the time of her death and a longtime member of the Greater New Orleans Chapter of Hadassah.

Davis was a graduate of Sophie B. Wright high School’s graduating class of 1938 and a lifelong member of Congregation Beth Israel..

She was married for 67 years to the late Edward Isaac Davis and is survived by Dr. Bruce Allan Davis (Barbara) of Nashville, TN and Larry Davis (Gail Trettin). She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on September 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the New Beth Israel Cemetery, 4400 Elysian Fields Ave. with Rabbi Josh Pernick officiating.
