Hadassah New Orleans chapter holds installation today

The New Orleans Chapter of Hadassah will install several officers for the calendar year at its meeting today. Although president Julie Schwartz will retain her position for the forthcoming year, several other officers will change their terms or begin new terms of office. Terri Gross, an attorney formerly associated with the now merged Northshore chapter, will serve as installing officer.

Faye Lala, who is currently serving as treasurer, will begin serving as co-treasurer with Arlene Hines through December. Barbara Polikoff Katz will server as vice-president for programming, while Ilana Reisin will be vice-president for education. Fran Simon will serve as vice-president for marketing, while Marisa Kahn will serve a term as vice-president for membership. Recording secretary will be will Carrie Pailet, while Diana Schlefstein will serve as social secretary. Schwartz will continue her term of office, which is for two years.

Meanwhile, former New Orleans chapter president Lee Kansas is also expected to attend. Kansas is presently serving as the southern regional president of Hadassah.

The meeting will be held at the home of Patty Ungar, 5 Tara Place in Metairie. The cost of the affair is $10.00 per person and is open to all Hadassah members, associates and prospective members.
