Homemaker Janet Gensburger Cohen service set for Sunday morning

JANET GENSBURGER COHEN, a New Orleans native homemaker passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

She was a graduate of Fortier High School and loved her life as a “domestic goddess,” cooking, arranging her home’s interior and spending time gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Rubin Cohen; her children Stephen and Brian (Simone); her sister Linda Brandt (Robert) and her brother Ellis Gensburger; and two grandchildren.

Rabbi David Gerber of Congregation Gates of Prayer will officiate at graveside services on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hebrew Rest Cemetery #3, 4321 Frenchmen Street.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. 

Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.s
