Israeli election coverage all day long

Israeli polls opened early this morning to the largest voter turnout since 1999. According to estimates from the Central Elections Committee, at least 11.4% of voters had cast ballots as of 1 a.m. CST. That represents a one percent rise in voters from the last four national election campaigns. It is hoped by some that this year’s election may prove to have the most populous turnout in the nation’s history. Some 5.65 million voters are eligible to vote for Knesset candidates representing 14 political parties. Whoever’s political party garners the most votes will be asked to form a coalition government.  The CCJN will provide election coverage all day long.
