Realtor, instructor Frankie Wittenberg is dead at 73

FRANCES “FRANKIE” MILES WITTENBERG, a realtor and instructor passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from complications due to COPD. She was 73.

An adjunct professor at Loyola University, Wittenberg was associated as an instructor for Skillpath, Inc., a professional development series of courses and seminars.

A volunteer for several community organizations, Wittenberg was most affected by children and regularly advocated for education and advancement for children in local schools.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John H. Wittenberg; her two daughters, Terri Benton (Chris) and Susan Callahan (John); as well as by two grandchildren. Burial was private.

A celebration of her life was held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at the New Orleans Lawn and Tennis Club. Tharp-Sontheimer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
