Women of Shir Chadash to present ‘Sunday Sessions’

The newly founded sisterhood group, Women of Shir Chadash (WSC),  is introducing ‘Sunday Sessions,’ a new series of intergenerational programs designed to educate and entertain adults and children alike.

The first of the series will take place next Sunday, June 14, from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.

Kenneth Hoffman, executive director of the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience (MSJE), will present on the topic “The MSJE in 10 Archives and More.”

Hoffman will speak on artifacts the Museum is collecting and give tips on preserving treasured family items as well as researching Southern family roots. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Children ages 3- 12 will simultaneously participate in a creative and interactive ‘Art with Art’ program being presented by MSJE’s instructor Art Bennett. All children will also receive a kid-friendly dinner.

While these sessions are free for Shir Chadash members, there is a $5 per family charge for non-members.
