Anshe Sfard looks to replace stove-oven

Congregation Anshe Sfard has launched a fundraising campaign, specifically targeting the replacement of its present stove-oven. The present stove-oven has been in the synagogue’s kitchen for at least 50 years.

A goal of $5,000 has been set to cover the cost of the purchase of the appliance, safety equipment and re-plumbing necessary. An anonymous donor has pledged to match the first $1,000 raised.

According to the synagogue’s weekly bulletin, “This stove would enable a level of hospitality important to our members and visitors. It allows us to continue to offer our Young Professionals Friday Night dinners and other special Kiddushes for which we are known.”
