Hadassah host of Tri-Region conference this weekend

The Greater New Orleans Chapter of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist organization, is playing host to a regional gathering of chapters this weekend.

Billed as the Big and Easy Super South Tri-Region Conference, the Shabbaton-centered weekend is mostly closed to all but Hadassah members and associates.

The three regional presidents Lee Kansas, Southern Region; Toby Parker, Southeastern Region; and Janice Bernstein, Southern Seaboard, will all be leading their respective delegations at the events which run April 17-19 at the New Orleans Hilton Hotel in Kenner.

Guest speakers include New Orleans Jewish Family Services executive director Roselle Ungar, herself a national board member, and Rachel Schonberger, a Super South Area keynote speaker. Other national board members are Ellen Hershkin and Debbie Friedman as well as Renee Resnick, a national honorary council member and trainer.
