Hadassah to honor Betty Moore as ‘Woman of Valor’ on Nov. 2

The Greater New Orleans Chapter of Hadassah honored Betty Moore at a special dairy brunch on Sunday, November 2 at the Windsor Court Hotel.

BETTY MOORE

The honor of a “Woman of Valor” refers to the Eishet Chayil Jewish hymn sung to praise women who are industrious, capable, kind and resourceful. The Woman of Valor Award is given to a woman who has not served as president of a given chapter at the time it is awarded.

It gives acknowledgment for a very hard worker who at the time of its presentation has not been elected as president of the chapter, but who through application of time and duty to the chapter has made a significant contribution. She has served as the bookkeeper for the local chapter, assisting the elected treasurers for many years and had served as a co-president.

This special award is not given out annually.
